Allision in Rostov-on-Don

On Sep 26, 2021, at 5.20 p.m. the 'Lady Rania', while mooring at berth No. 72 of the Novoshakhtinsk Oil Products Plant (NZNP) in Rostov-on-Don, allided with the starboard side of the tanker 'Caspian Sprinter', which was in the process of loading at the next pier. The 'Lady Rania' suffered damages to its deck rails on nine metres length, and fenders were deformed. An investigator of the Rostov Transport Investigation Department inspected the scene of the incident as well as the ships, inerrogated the crew members, port workers and organized a set of necessary verification measures aimed at establishing all the circumstances of the incident and the damage. The 'Caspian Sprinter' left the port again on Sep 28 at 4.40 p.m., headed to Burgas with an ETA as of Sep 29. The 'Lady Rania' had already sailed on Sep 27 at 1.15 a.m. after completion of investigations and cargo operations, en route to Kavkaz.
