Blackout and one injured in Brunsbüttel

When the "Letizia Effe" moored at the southern Navy pilings in Brunsbüttel-Ostermoor enroute from Kaliningrad to Rotterdam on Jan 12, 2015, one man was squeezed on deck and had to be medevaced. The ship had suffered an engine blackout. The "Schwansen" of the water police went alongside for investigations. The tanker continued its voyage to Rotterdam at 9.20 p.m. with an ETA of Jan 14, 6 a.m.

Medevac off Penmar'h

On Apr 26, 2014, at 4:25 p.m., the CROSS Etel was alerted by the "Letizia Effe" after a crew member was injured in an accident. After a conference with the center of maritime medical consultation in Toulouse, a medical evacuation was decided at 4:50 p.m. The CROSS Etel immediately dispatched a Cayman helicopter of the French Navy with a medical team of the Army health service and a diver on board. The helicopter arrived on site at 6:55 p.m. and hoisted the victim around 7. p.m. The tanker which was heading to Brest was located less than 100 km west of Penmarc'h. At 7:20 p.m., the Polish national was delivered at the hospital Cavale Blanche in Brest.
