Engine damage fixed in Volos

The "Luhnau" was towed to Volos with an engine problem about Feb 8, 2018. The vessel seit sail again on Feb 13 after all repairs have been completed successfully.

Blackout in Kiel Canal

Enroute from Dagenham, UK, to Rostock, the "Luhnau" suffered an engine blackout during the transit of the Kiel Canal just after having passed the locks in Brunsbüttel on May 24, 2016, around noon. The ship was moored with assistance of the tug "Luchs (IMO: 8912211) at the dolphins of the sailing ship port in Brunsbüttel/Ostermoor for surveys and class renewal. She resumed the eastbound voyage around 3.30 p.m., with an ETA as of May 25, 6 a.m.

Disabled cargo ship towed to Brest

The "Luhnau" suffered steering failure on Nov 15, 2014, in the Bay of Biscay about 200 nm off Brest, and requested assistance. The vessel was en route from Eastham to Leixoes with a cargo of scrap. The emergency tug "Abeille Bourbon" was dispatched to assist and took the ship in tow. After a tow of nine hours on Nov 17 the convoy reached Brest, and the casualty was moored with local tugs of Boluda after having spend a night at anchor off the port. Technicians were called from Germany to rectify the damage. On Nov 21 around 7 p.m. the ship resumed its voyage with an ETA of Nov 24.
