Turkey sends aid ship to Yemen

Mon Feb 15 10:07:06 CET 2016 arnekiel

Turkey has sent a relief ship from the port of Mersin to Yemen carrying 6,000 tons of humanitarian assistance consisting mainly of food. The ship left Mersin on Friday to meet the needs of the people of Yemen. The Turkish Foreign Ministry said in a statement issued over the weekend that Turkey desires the "the re-institution of stability and security in friendly and brotherly Yemen as soon as possible through the restoration of legitimate state authority and supports efforts in this direction. "Turkey has been working in coordination with the legitimate Yemeni authorities to ameliorate the unfavorable humanitarian conditions caused by the forces holding de facto power by resorting to violence and coercion, and to meet the basic needs of our suffering Yemeni brothers and sisters," the ministry said. http://www.todayszaman.com/anasayfa_turkey-sends-aid-ship-to-yemen_412253.html
