Armed perpetrators boarded ship

Sat Dec 04 21:15:37 CET 2021 Timsen

Three perpetrators armed with a gun and knives boarded the 'AS Sabrina' in position 18 39 51 N, 72 23 50 W, at the Lafito pilot station, Haiti, on Nov 23, 2021, at 6 a.m. They attacked, injured, and tied up the duty crew. The general alarm was sounded, and non-essential crew mustered in the citadel. Seeing the crew's alertness, the perpetrators escaped with stolen vessels properties. The incident was reported to the Lafito Pilot Station.

Drugs found in Puerto Plata

Wed Jun 23 10:52:07 CEST 2021 Timsen

Authorities have seized six packages of drugs aboard the 'AS Sabrina' in the port of San Felipe de Puerto Plata before it set sail for Miami. The substance, presumably cocaine was wrapped in black plastic and vacuum packed. The cache was discovered in an inspection carried out by officers of the Dominican Republic Navy (ARD) and agents of the General Directorate of Drug Control (DNCD) and the Specialized Port Security Corps (CESEP). The crew was investigated. The ship had made a stop in Puerto Plata to bring and carry containers from the shipping companies SEABOARD Marine and AGEPORT (Dockers and Port Agents) before continuing the voyage to Miami with an ETA as of June 22, 2021.
