Grounding in Fraserburgh
The "Morning Dawn", 560 gt (built 1988) ran aground at the North Pier in Fraserburgh harbour, when transiting between the South and North Harbours on March 5, 2018. The Harbour Authority was contacted to ascertain whether Coast Guard assistance was required. They advised that the vessel was being recovered by the harbour pilot vessel and another fishing vessel, the local fishing boat "BF 24 - Serenity" skippered by Gordon Hadden. The RNLI boat “Willie and May Gall” escorted the "Morning Dawn", with the “Serenity” also providing an escort, safely back to the harbour where the Harbour Pilot Boat was ensuring that the “Morning Dawn” was safely moored at 12.37, UTC, with Search and Rescue assets being stood down. The Fraserburgh RNLI reported seeing no visible pollution around the vessel. Report with photos: https://www.facebook.com/pg/RNLIFraserburgh/photos/?tab=album&album_id=1688291741217374
