On Jan 16, 2011, the "Motivator", which was captured in the southern Red Sea on 4 July 2010 with a crew of 18 Filipinos, has been released approximately 160 miles south west of the island of Socotra facing the mouth of the Gulf of Aden. EU NAVFOR has a ship assisting the crew. The "Motivator" had been hijacked in 13.16N 42.56E, near Bab el Mandeb Strait with a cargo of lubricators enroute from Ukraine to Indonesia.
