Incat Crowther delivers second FSV
Incat Crowther is pleased to announce the delivery of Najla McCall, the second vessel in SEACOR Marine’s Express Plus class of Fast Support Vessels (“FSV”). Sistership to the acclaimed Alya McCall, launched in November last year, Najla McCall features striking lines and a very high service speed that take this class of vessel into the 21st century, the shipbuilder said Thursday in a press release. The Najla McCall has seating capacity for 100 personnel and achieved an operational speed in excess of 38 knots during recent trials. This performance is remarkable for a large vessel of this type and is enabled by a quintet of Cummins QSK 60, EPA Tier 3 compliant diesel engines, each producing 2680 bhp. The engines are coupled to Twin Disc MGX 61500 SC reverse reduction gearboxes driving Hamilton HT-810 water jets through a shafting system by Driveline Service of Portland.
