Surveyor fell from ship and died
A surveyor fell into the on Dec 22, 2021, at the outer anchorage off Payra port, Bangladesh, from the ' Neraida'. The65-year old man boarded the bulk carrier to survey the cargo of coal, destined for a power plant. After he completed his work, he began descending to a lighter which was moored alongside the bulk carrier, which initially, took him out to the anchorage. He slipped and fell into the sea. He was rescued some time later and transported to hospital, but declared dead.
