Tue Aug 18 21:21:49 CEST 2020 Timsen

The 'Nissos Kalymnos', while en route from Kalymnos to Pythogorion, got a floating cable entangled in its starboard propeller, before it entered the port of Patmos in the morning of Aug 17, 2020. The ship had on board 21 passengers, while 39 were waiting to board at Patmos. Upon the arrival at Patmos, a diver was employed to survey the vessel. He found the cable, disengaged it from the propeller and reported that there was no further damage to the propulsion or the hull. The departure of the ferry was initially prohibited by the Port Authority, but after the presentation of a class maintenance certificate by the classification society that monitors it, the ship could resume its schedule.
