Blackout off Tadoussac

The 'Nord Quebec' was disabled due to a blackout in position 48 07 32.9N, 069 35 50.8W, off Tadoussac on March 4, 2021, at 11.50 a.m. The failure was found to have been caused by water contamination of the fuel oil system. Afer the ship resumed its voyage, it berthed in Port Alfred on March 5 at 10 a.m.

Fatal accident during docking manoever

The Canadian Tansportation Safety Board of Canada has launched an investigation into a fatal accident involving the "Nord Quebec" at the port of Trois-Rivières in Québec. On May 22, 2017, a 38-year-old Filipino crew member of the bulk carrier was killed after he was hit in the head by a steel cable during the docking maneuver at the port. A team of investigators was sent to the port to gather information and assess the incident. The vessel was still moored at the port as of May 23.
