Perpetrators stole ship's properties

Perpetrators boarded the 'Nord Steady' unnoticed, and escaped with stolen vessel's properties, in position 03 53 26 N, 077 03 44 W, at the port of Buenaventura pm Dec 5, 2021, at around 5 a.m. The theft was noticed by the crew during the gauging of bunker tanks. The incident was reported to the Buenaventura Port Authorities through the local agent. The ship sailed from Buenaventura on Dec 14, headed to Balboa with an ETA as of Dec 15.

Fuel injector valve replaced

The 'Nord Steady' suffered issues with a fuel injector valve while en route from New York to Amsterdam on Oct 7, 2019, at 2.10 p.m. The valve was replaced, and the vessel was underway again at 2.45 p.m. with an ETA as of Oct 10, 8 p.m.

Cargo stolen off Lagos

While the "Nord Steady" was at anchor in the Secured Anchorage Area off Lagos in the night hours of March 24, 2019, the duty watchman discovered two perpetrators hiding behind the bollards. The crew reported the incident to the Nigerian Navy, and the Navy despatched a patrol boat. Gun shots were heard. The Navy apprehended the perpetrators. About 70 MT of cargo was stolen from one port and one starboard tank. The crew was not injured. A week later, in the morning hours of March 30, while the ship was at anchor in STS Area carrying out a ship-to-ship operation, the duty watch keeper saw two perpetrators near the vessel cargo tank. The perpetrators escaped into a waiting boat when their presence was discovered.
