Repairs in Piraeus

The "Panagia Kanala" has arrived and entered a repair yard at Piraeus. Repairs of the damaged engine have commenced by the shore based technical teams under presence of the of Owners representatives. The vessel left the port on Jan 22, 2020, and headed to Livorno as first port of call after repairs. It berthed at the merchant port on Feb 17 at 7.15 a.m.

Disabled ship towed to Piraeus

A towage operation of the "Panagia Kanala" commenced on June 18, 2019. The ship, sailing in ballast condition, had suffered an engine failure near Nea Karvali in Feb 2019. As the needed repairs could not be carried out by the crew, the tug "Asteri" was appointed to tow the vessel to Piraeus for this purpose. The ship moored off the port in pos. 37° 55.17' N 023° 32.54' E on June 21 at 12.30 a.m.

AMP repatriates seamen abandoned in Venezuela

The Panama Maritime Authority (AMP) repatriated the crew of the Panamanian flagged vessel “Pan Prosperity” with IMO No. 9125152, which was abandoned near the Port of Guanta, in the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela. The labor complaint by the crew of the “Pan Prosperity” was received by the Department of Maritime Labor Affairs of the Department of Seafarers on March 1, 2017.
