During security rounds on board the duty Able Seaman of the 'Port Macau' spotted three robbers on the forecastle of the bulk carrier in position 04 53 02N, 001 41 56W, at the Takoradi anchorage on June 30, 2020, around 02.35 a.m. Jr informed the Officer of the Watch who raised the alarm and informed the Master. The Takoradi Port Control and the Port security service were informed and deployed two patrol boats to the scene. At 02.38 a.m. the robbers were seen departing the vessel in a small unlit boat. The forecastle padlocks were found broken by the crew members and the hotbox high pressure cleaner was missing.
