NGO ship rescued 59 migrants
The port of Pozzallo has been assigned for the docking of the 'ResQ People' with 58 migrants on board. The ship had left on the evening of Oct 8, just over a month after the end of the first mission, from Porto Empedocle for its second rescue mission, with a crew of 21 people on board. Immediately after departure, the ship rescued the migrants in the night of Oct 9, including 6 women, one in an advanced state of pregnancy, and 17 minors. The ship berthed at the Cargo Terminal on Oct 15 at 9 a.m.
Rescue ship berthed in Augusta
The 'ResQ People' with 165 rescued migrants on board was permitted to drop the castaways off in Augusta. The ship berthed in the Merchant Port on Aug 18 at 9.40 a.m. They had been recovered during several missions in the Mediterranean Sea during the recent days.
NGO ship rescued 166 migrants
The 'ResQ People' has rescued 166 migrants in the Mediterranean Sea and asked for a safe harbor on Aug 16, 2021. The migrants included 12 minors under the age of five including a 9-month-old baby.
