Engine failure off Ravenna

The 'Prudence', 4106 BRZ (gt, built 2008), suffered an engine failure after sailing from Patras to Ravenna on Feb 5, 2020, at 5.20 p.m. The vessel moored at the Patras anchorage to conduct repairs. The Port Authority of Patras detained the vessel at the anchorage until the engine was repaired and a class certificate of seaworthiness was issued. The ship arrived in Ravenna on Feb 9 at 11.30 a.m. It sailed again from the port on Feb 16 at 12.20 a.m., next bound to Antwerp with an ETA as of Feb 29.

Ship adrift due to pitch propeller issue

The "Prudence", en route from Aviles to Salten went adrift due to problems with its pitch propeller in position 59 40 42 N, 003 45 18 W, on Feb 21, 2019. at 2.20 a.m. The main engine could not be started as the pitch propeller was not working. The crew intended to drift until 9 a.m., during which time mechanical advice was sought. Further attempts would then be made to rectify the issue. On Feb 23 the ship was under way to its destination Salten.
