Repairs at Fethiye anchorage

The 'River Thames', en route from Aveiro to Alexandria, suffered a technical failure and sheltered at Fethiye anchorage on July 1, 2021. Repair works were carried out by the crew along with shore-based support. The ship remained moored in pos. 36° 40.04' N 029° 3.84' E as if July 8.

Ship intercepted with drug shipment

The "Maria D" was intercepted on Apr 28, 2015, in the Alboran sea by Spanish forces and taken to Cartagena for inspection. The vessel had raised suspicion because of its odd behavior after transiting the Gibraltar Strait. Large shipments of hashish and cocaine were found aboard. The crew was arrested, an investigation under way. The vessel was en route from Las Palmas to Sfax.

Allision in Brake

On Nov 15, 2012, at 9.30 p.m. the "Maria" allided with the south quay in Brake. The quay was damaged, the ship suffered scratches at the bow. The Russian master of the ship had misjudged the distance to the quay in dense fog. The police Brake launched an investigation. Drug tests were negative. On Nov 16 at 2.30 p.m. the ship departed from the port bound for St. Malo.
