Turbocharger damage in Barents Sea
On Feb 19, 2022, the 'RN Murmansk', en route from Archangel to Ryfylke, suffered damage to its main engine turbocharger rotor in the Barents Sea. The vessel was diverted to Hammerfest at slow speed, where it arrived on Jan 23 at 1.20 p.m. for repair works.
Ran aground in White sea
RN Murmansk ran aground in Mudyug Canal proceeding from Talagi-Risneft Oil Terminal, Arkhangel port, White sea, in the evening hours on Nov 24. Fore draft loss was 0.55 meter. Port tug and two icebreakers came to assist, but due to low tide attempts to refloat tanker failed, and salvage was suspended till high tide. Tanker was refloated with high tide in the morning Nov 25, and resumed voyage to Amsterdam with 24162 mt of oil on board. No damages and no leak reported. Maritime Bulletin http://www.odin.tc
