Repairs in Tuzla completed

The 'European Seaway' shifted to Tuzla anchorage after completing permanent repairs. Sea trials will be carried out under the supervision of the class surveyor and shipyard engineers. Subsequently, a new set of trading documents will be issued by the flag state authority and the classification society. The vessel remained stationary at Tuzla anchorage as of May 7.

Repairs in Altinova continued

Since Feb 16, internal, external and bottom section steel members, thickness measurements were taken from all locations of the 'Sea Anatolia'. Diminution locations were marked and the steel replacement work commenced in dry dock at the shipyard in Yalova. Tightness test will be applied, upon completion of the steel replacement. While shore-based technical teams continued the repairs, the vessel remained stationary at Yalova as of March 21.

Repairs of ferry underway

The 'Sea Anatolia', which had experienced a technical failure while docked at Dover as 'European Seaway' on Aug 1, 2021, arrived at Yalova anchorage on Feb 6 under its new name. It berthed at the Altinova shipyard on Feb 7 upon completion of custom and immigration formalities. A detailed damage survey was carried out by a class surveyor together with the owner's superintendent and shipyard duty engineers. Repairs plan were issued by the classification society and commenced by shore based technical teams. Repairs have commenced, and the ship remained stationary as of Feb 15.
