Medevac off Kochi
A Turkish crew member of the "Yasa Unity" was medevaced off the Indian coast on Sep 4, 2017. after he complained of chest pain. The 39-year old Mehmet Sari Sahin was taken off by the Coast Guard. A medical team onboard the patrol boat "C-421" evacuated Sahin after it received information about the medical emergency. The vessel was directed to head towards Kochi and advised to identify a local agent for coordinating further formalities. After completion of immigration and customs checks, the man was handed over to the local agent and subsequently admitted to a private hospital.
