Medevac off Ile d'Ouessant
On July 10 at 11 a.m. the MRCC Corsen was alerted after a passenger on board the "Etoile Polaire" had fallen ill. The ship was 21 miles northeast of the Ile d'Ouessant then. After a consultation of the medical maritime service in Toulouse via telephone it was decided to medevac the person. An NH 90 Cayman helicopter of the 33 F flottilla started with medical personnel on board. At 1 p.m. the person was hoisted aboard and transported to the hospital Cavale blanche in Brest.
