Exhaust problems off Ramsey
The "Stena Mersey", en route from Liverpool to Belfast suffered exhaust related problems in position 055 20 00 N 004 05 00 W, approximately 10 miles east of Ramsey, Isle of Man, on Dec 29, 2018, at 2.20 p.m. Repairs were carried out and the vessel continued to Belfast at 4 p.m. and arrived in port at 11 p.m.
Bloody brawl on ferry
Passengers of the "Stena Mersey" were left feared after a bloody brawl broke out on Dec 21, 2018. A man's head was left pouring with blood during a fight involving up to seven people on the 10.30 a.m. which appeared to have started in the ferry's restaurant. The incident was quickly brought under control by Stena Line staff. Stena Line has apologised to customers and said it was investigating. Police boarded the vessel when it docked in Belfast. CCTV footage was being reviewed. A number of people have been detained for questioning by PSNI officers.
Ferry evacuated after bomb threat
Passengers were evacuated from the Liverpool-bound "Stena Mersey"" on Oct 7, 2018, after reports that a “device” had been left on board. The service was held in Belfast while the vessel was searched by PSNI and Harbour Police officers. At around 12.50 a.m. the PSNI said no device was found and passengers were allowed to re-embark the ferry, which would then shortly depart for Liverpool.Upload News
