Ferry suffered mechanical damage

The 'Supercat Jet' suffered a mechanical damage in the afternoon of june 16, 2022, while operating the scheduled route from the port of Rafina to the ports of Tinos - Mykonos - Naxos - Paros, with 327 passengers on board. The ship sailed to the port of Parikia Paros, where after presenting a certificate from the classification society that monitors the ship, the ferry was permitted an individual voyage to the port of Rafina with intermediate stops at the ports of Naxos and Mykonos.

Ferry suffered breakdown

The "Supercat" suffered a mechanical breakdown in the morning of Sep 6, 2019, with 170 passengers enroute from the port of Piraeus to Milos-Folegandros-Thira-Io-Naxos and Mykonos. The passengers of the ship were forwarded to their destinations by the ferries "Superjet", "Adamantios Korais" and "Dionysios Solomos". The "Supercat" was temporarily banned from sailing until the damage was repaired and a class survey carried out.

Engine trouble in Milos

The Port Authority of Milos was informed by the captain of the "Supercat" in the early hours of Aug 19, 2019, about a mechanical damage to the starboards side main main engine. The ship was operating a scheduled itinerary from the port of Piraeus to the ports of Milos, Folegandros, Thira, Ios, Naxos, Mykonos and return with 214 passengers on board. The ship was detained until an inspection and the submission of a class certificate by the relevant classification society after a single departure to Piraeus to drop off the passengers who were forwarded to their destinations with the care of the shipowning company.
