At Port Nelson the "Sils" was undergoing repair work on its bowthruster without drydocking start of May 2011. Sharland Engineering tackled the job by having ballast pumped to the stern to lift the bulbous bow section and bowthruster clear of the water while it was moored at McGlashen Quay. The Sils will load containers of apples after the job is finished and sail for Napier, Auckland and Malaysia. Nelson was the first New Zealand port of call for the ship after sailing from Taiwan.
