Medevac off Le Havre

Tue Dec 03 09:46:22 CET 2013 Timsen

On Dec 2, 2013, the "Toli", being anchored six nautical miles west of Le Havre, sought medical assistance of the CROSS Joburg for a sick crew member. Already on Dec 1, a first teleconsultation had taken place with the center of Turkish maritime medical consultation, but as the condition of the man became worse, the CROSS Joburg organized another phone consultation with the Centre for Marine Medical consultation in Toulouse which confirmed that the patient's condition required a clinical examination the same evening. The SNSM-boat of the station Saint-Sauveur which was moored in Le Havre was requested by the shipowner and arrived at 6:50 p.m. to take on board the man. He was taken to port and received by the fire rescue for further transport.
