Auxiliary ship left repair dock

On Feb 2 the "Werra" left the naval base in Wilhelmshaven after repairs to its stern tube with a crew of 60 on board towards Istanbul where it was expected mid of the month to guide a NATO force into the Black Sea and the Mediterranean Sea for manoevers. The ship had entered the dock on Jan 22.

Tender suffered stern tube trouble

The "Werra" which had headed to the Mediterranean Sea on Jan 21, 2019, had to aboart its mission and returned to the naval port in Wilhelmshaven for investigations at its stern tube on Jan 23 and was drydocked on Jan 24.

Tender with engine failure towed back to yard in Elsfleth

After having just been overhauled for 7,4 Million Euro at the Shipyard Elsfleth, the engine of the "Werra" failed. On Sep 30, 2018, the ship was towed by the tugs "Holtenau" and "Lütje Hörn" from Kiel back to Elsfleth.
