Grounding off Nevelsk
On Dec 16, 2014, the "Xiang Tong 9" ran aground in the Tatarskiy Strait while leaving Nevelsk port on Sakhalin Island. The ship was loaded with coal and had a pilot on board as well as two assistance tugs. The vessel was refloated shortly after midnight Dec 17 and anchored on the outer roads for surveys.
