Recent vessel tracking has validated private sector efforts to reactivate international trade, especially in the liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) sector. At least two cargoes were spotted entering international waters after spending 3-4 days loading at the terminal at Jose.
These LPG carriers headed north to deliver to the United States at Providence port on the East Coast, and to the Port of San Pedro de Macorís in the Dominican Republic.The Chrsopigi Lady loaded for the US East Coast at the start of February and was chartered by Trafigura. Both cargoes understood to be propane volumes.
