Landing craft ran aground in Bali Strait
The 'Trisna Dwitya' ran aground in the Bali Strait on July 18, 2023, at around 8.35 p.m. The vessel was battered by strong winds and waves when it was about to dock at Gilimanuk Harbour. All passengers were evacuated. The landing craft was successfully refloated and towed towards Gilimanuk on July 19 at around 2.35 p.m. in the third attempt with the towing rope breaking twice. The condition of its hull was to be inspected in port.
Truck fell from broken ramp
The 'Trisna Dwitya' suffered a mechanical malfunction at the Port of Ketapang in East Java on March 9, 2023. The ramp of the vessel broke in the middle, which caused a truck, which was loaded with flour, to plunge into the sea as it was in the middle of loading. The vessel's shipping company provided a crane to refloat the truck after it was tasked by port authorities to handle the situation. No injuries were reported.
Triple collision in Gilimanuk
Three Bali Strait ferries collided at night Feb 28, 2020, at Gilimanuk port, Bali, being pushed by strong wind. The KMP 'Putri Konang' hit the KMP 'Liputan 12', both moved further and hit the 'Trisna Dwitya' All three entangled ships were in danger of drifting aground, but assisted by another vessel, avoided grounding. All ships sustained slight damages, and later resumed services.
