Repairs in Tuzla underway

The 'Tiara', which had suffered a technical failure at Damietta on Dec 15, 2021, and berthed at Tuzla on Jan 20, 2022, for repairs , got a new set of spare parts provided by the owners from an authorized manufacturer. Upon completion of repairs, a sea trial performance test will be carried out at Tuzla anchorage under supervision of the class surveyor together with the owner's superintendent. The vessel remained stationary at Tuzla as of March 13.

Technical failure under repair at Tuzla

Aftter repairs of the 'Tiara', which had suffered a technical failure at Damietta on Dec 15, 2021; could not be carried out by crew, the vessel berthed for repairs at Tuzla on Jan 20, 2022, at 2.40 p.m. A detailed damage survey was carried out by class surveyors together with the owner's technical superintendent. Subsequently, permanent repairs have commenced by shore based technical teams as regards with class surveyor further recommendations.

Disabled ship under tow to Tuzla

After the 'Tiara' has completed its cargo discharge operation at Ceyhan, it has been shifted from the port to the anchorage area. The tug 'Sonduren 10' (IMO: 7531644) has been contracted to tow of the vessel from Ceyhan to the Tuzla shipyard area. Upon completion of of formalities, the towage operation has commenced in the afternoon of Jan 6, with an ETA at Tuzla as of Jan 12.
