Trawler fouled by nets
The "Krym" got its trawl nets became entangled in its propeller steering gear complex, while in the Barents Sea fishing grounds, about 48 miles northwest of Cape Kanin Nos, on Sep 15, 2018, at 6.30 p.m. . As a result, the vessel's main engine stopped, and the vessel started to drift on a westerly course at 1.8 knots. The crew wasunable to free the nets from the propeller, hence the shipowner requested assistance from the Murmansk authorities. The Russian tug "Atriya" was sent from Kola Bay to clear the nets from the trawler, ETA Sep 17, 6 p.m.
