Stowaway requested asylum

On Nov 8, 2019, the Federal German Police was informed by the owners of the 'Amiko' about a stowaway on board when the ship entered the locks of the Kiel Canal in Brunsbüttel at 6.30 p.m. The ship was enroute from Ipswich to Apenrade. The man of Algerian nationality was handed over to the officers. As he did not have a passport or other documents, he was taken ashore. During the investigations it turned out that the man already got on board in Mostaganem where the ship had been docked from Oct 10 to 17. After an investigations was launched against him, he requested asylum.
