Crankshaft issues off Land's End

The 'Arklow Bay', en route from Gíjon to Dublin with nine crew members and a cargo of 8.432 tonnes of slag on board, suffered a defective crankshaft in position 50 02 40 N, 005 55 45 W, about 9,8 nautical miles from Land's End in the North Bound Lane of the TSS on June 6, 2022, at 6 a.m. UTC. The issue was fixed at 06.45 a.m., and the ship resumed its voyage with an ETA as of June 7.

Leak in main engine

The 'Arklow Bay', en route from Hamburg to Santander, with nine crew members on board and loaded with 5.333 tonnes of soy milk, suffered a small leak on main engine just outside the Casquets Traffic Separation Scheme in position 50 12 03.6 N, 002 19 39.0 W on Dec 3, 2021, at 8.10 a.m. The Solent Coastguard took coordination of the vessel. Leakage in cooling system

The 'Arklow Bay', en route from Dublin to Pasajes with nine crew members, went adrift due to leak in the cooling system in position 51 56 54.0N, 005 53 17.0W on Oct 31, 2021, at 05.45 a.m. After the defect was rectified, the vessel continued its voyage after final tests short past 10 a.m with an ETA as of Nov 2.
