Thu Apr 19 10:57:26 CEST 2018 Timsen

The "Havila Aurora" and "Havila Borg" have received a three-month contract with the Totals exploration and production company in the UK. Each contract has an option for another month. The start of the contracts is in May 2018. The "Havila Borg" was laid up with two other ships in 2016, when 70 lost their jobs.

Havila Aurora begins work for Total UK

Mon Jun 06 08:58:29 CEST 2016 arnekiel

Two platform support vessels (PSVs) owned by Norway’s Havila Shipping have won period contracts with oil majors in the North Sea region. Statoil has booked Havila Foresight (pictured; built 2008) on a one-year contract extension, which will continue when the vessel’s current charter ends on July 1. The new contract includes four six-month extension options. Havila Aurora (built 2009) has begun work for Total UK for a firm period of three months, plus an optional one-month extension. The contracts’ day rates were not disclosed by the Oslo-listed shipowner.
