Medevac off Dragonera
On May18, 2025, the SAR helicopter Helimer 222 medevaced a sick passenger from the 'GNV Cristal', en route from Sète to Tanger Med, about 43 nautical miles from Dragonera. The patient was hoisted from the ship and taken to the hospital Son Espases for further treatment on a higher medical level.

On March 1, 2024, a critical medical emergency unfolded on the 'GNV Cristal' necessitating a swift and coordinated rescue operation off the coast of Pyrénées-Orientales. A 75-year-old passenger exhibiting severe heart condition symptoms was airlifted to safety. The situation escalated when the ferry, en route from the port of Sète to Tangier, signaled for immediate assistance from the CROSS Med off the Pyrénées-Orientales, The decision to evacuate was promptly made following a doctor's recommendation. The rescue operation saw the deployment of the civil security helicopter, Dragon 66. The crew managed to stabilize and transport the patient to the Perpignan hospital,
Medevac from ferry
The 'GNV Cristal', with a doctor on board, requested the medical evacuation of a 55-year-old male passenger on Feb 2, 2024, en route from Tanger Med to Sète. The CCS Tarragona mobilized the SAR helicopter Helimer 221, which hoisted the patient and took him to the helisurface of the port of Barcelona, where an ambulance was waiting to take him to the Juan XXIII Hospital for further treatement.
