Bulkcarrier refloated

Mon Aug 31 23:05:09 CEST 2015 Timsen

On Aug 31 the "Mineral Faith" was anchored on the Suez South Anchorage after lengthy refloating attempts by several tugs during the recent days. The ship was intentionally tilted to get it off the ground. The bulk carrier had been en route from Narvik to Suez loaded with iron ore. Its grounding was the first reported incident since the opening of an expanded section of the waterway that allows traffic in both directions on August 6.
