The "Castoro 7" departed the island of Curacao on Dec 22, 2015, bound for Alang to be scrapped at the wire of the "Skandi Admiral", which was a tow over the distance of 12,600 nautical miles at a speed of three knots which could take seven months to complete.On Ascension Island where a crew change and re-provisioning took place before heading to St. Helena Island. Serviced by ship chandlers, WA Thorpe & Sons of St. Helena Island on Feb 26, 2016, while enroute to the Cape of Good Hope which is going to take 25 days with an average of 72 nm a day. Next port of call will be Port Louis on Apr 25.
