Medevac off Newquay
On Aug 15, 2022, the 'Stradale' (IMO: 8229456) notified the CROSS Gris Nez at around 8 a.m. UTC, that a medical evacuation was required for a 24 year old crew member aboard the trawler. He had suffered a head trauma caused by a blow to his head from a moving metal object 39 nautical miles off Newquay in position 50 42 39.6 N, 005 50 00.0 W. The MRCC Falmouth took over the coordination and deployed the Coast Guard helicopter R924 which hoosted the victim at 09.37 a.m. He was taken to RCH Treliske.
Occurrence with crew member
On July 6, 2022, the Gabinete de Investigação de Acidentes Marítimos e da Autoridade para a Meteorologia Aeronáutica in Lisbon was notified, via the French maritime safety investigation office, of an occurrence with a crew member of Portuguese nationality aboard the 'Stradale'. The GAMA already started the collection of information.
Medevac off Portrieux
On Dec 16 the Premar Atlantique was alerted after a crew member of the "Stradale" was injured 80 miles Northe of Saint Quay, Portrieux. A Cayman helicopter of the Navy base Lanvéoc was deployed and hoisted the victim at midnight. He was transported to the hospital Cavale Blanche in Brest for treatment.
