Fire in Lauwersoog
On Sep 19, 2015, at 8.30 a.m. the fire rescue Zoutkamp was alerted to a fire aboard the "ZK 92- Josiena Lisa" in Lauwersoog. The fire was at the stern of the ship and could soon be extinguished with assistance of boats of the local KNRM Station. There was no one aboard at the time when the fire broke out. Josiena Lisa as good Samaritan
On June 7 around midnight the "Josiena Lisa" assisted the Dutch flagged beam trawler "Aldert van Thijs - ZK 37", 38 gt (CS PCRZ; built 1946) which needed assistance after it had encountered engine problems and was adrift and in danger of grounding off Schiermonnikoog. The "Josiena Lisa" managed to keep the ship clear of the shallows of the near Rottumerplate notheast of Schiermonnikoog until the lifeboat "Dorus Rijkers" took the casualty in tow to Lauwersoog.
