Water ingress in engine room
The 'Danielle' was taking on water in the engine room for unknown reasons approximately 17 miles from Newhaven in position 50 32 24.0 N, 000 03 20.4 W, on Nov 30, 2020, at 07.37 a.m. The RNLI boat from Newhaven responded and escorted the vessel into Newhaven. The fishing vessels 'Georgia Dawn', 'Sajenn' and 'Seven Sisters' proceeded too to assist the vessel. The RNLI boat put a crew member aboard the vessel with an additional salvage pump. The skipper intended to collect more salvage equipment for the passage to Dunkirk for a dry dock for repairs. The skipper of the kept the Solent Coastguard informed while underway. On Dec 1 at 11 a.m. the trawler was docked at the Forme de Radoub 5.
Collision in English Channel
The "Danielle – BM 478”, 226 gt, was in collision with the French gillnetter "Outsider - IO.750351", 50 gt (MMSI-No.: 227581000), in pos. 49 48.28 N 03 38.42 W on June 22, 2018, at 11.50 p.m. in the English Channel. There has been no significant damage to both the vessels when the "Outsider" deliberately came in contact with the trawler. The crew of the "Outsider" was abusive to the crew of "Danielle" while speaking on the radio.
Trawler at precarious angle in Polruan
The "Danielle" was left balanced at a precarious angle in Polruan on Sep 13, 2014. Part of the harbour was cordonned off after the vessel came to rest at Polruan while tugs waited for high tide in order to refloat her. The Brixham Coastguard was made aware of the vessel's situation. There was nobody on board and no pollution issues.
