Crew member injured, cargo loss in storm Herwart
The "MSC Eyra" ran into trouble in the morning of Oct 29, 2017, in the Northsea off Terschelling in storm Herwart. One crew was seriously injured and medevaced to a hospital in Amsterdam by helicopter. The ship also lost a container north of Vlieland and timewise reduced speed to seven knots before regaining 12 knots on Oct 30. The container was being monitored by an aircraft, and the nearby shipping was informed about the cargo loss. The vessel had left Antwerp in the afternoon of Oct 28 at 2.15 p.m., bound for Copenhagen, ETA Oct 30.

In the night of Feb 2, 2011, shortly after midnight the "MSC Eyra", while sailing from Helsinki to Antwerp, was in collision with the "Baltiyskiy-109" (IMO: 7612515), around 10 miles northwest of Skagen. Nio injuries, no oil spill reported. The "MSC Eyra" suffered a few scratches and was permitted to continue the voyage by the Danish authorities, whereas the "Baltiskiy-109", which had departed 5 hours before from Frederikshavn bound to Bilbao, was damaged above the waterline and was ordered to anchor in Ålbæk Bay. The anti pollution vessel "Mette Miljø" was sent to the site and was monitoring the "Baltiyskiy-109".
