Tanker suffered technical failure
The 'VF Tanker-14', while en route from Batumi to Agioi Theodoroi, suffered a technical failure during tthe transit of the Bosphorus on Feb 16, 2021. The ship reached the Büyükdere anchorage at 11 a.m. and moored for repairs by the crew. As of Feb 17, it was anchored in pos. 40° 57.39' N 028° 53.66' E in the Sea of Marmara.
Collision on the Don
The 'V.F. Tanker 14' was in collision with the cargo m/v 'Melita' on Dec 2, 2019, at 08.42 a.m. while anchoring waiting for the entry into the Kochetovsky lock on the Don river at km 2998.5. The freighter suffered a crack of the girder, the tanker had a hole above the waterline in the aft part of 5 × 6 cm, but there was no oil spill and no danger of environmental pollutions. There were no obstacles to navigation on the Don too, and the cargo was not damaged, no injuries reported. The 'Melita', coming from from Turkmenistan and bound to the Ukraine, was loaded with fertilizer, when she slammed into the 'V.F. Tanker 14' which was enroute from Turkmenistan to Romania with a cargo of diesel fuel. .
Allision off Astrakhan
On Feb 20, 2014, at 23.25 p.m. Moscow time the cargo vessel "Parin", which anchored on road 5 off Astrakhan port, was turned around by a current, and allided with the "VF Tanker 14", Odin.tc reports. The tanker suffered dented railings on three meters length.
