Cruise ship quarantined due to coronavirus case

The 'Seven Seas Navigotor' with 450 people on board has been quarantined in the port of Barcelona since May 21, 2020, after a female crew member was tested positive for the new coronavirus. The Spanish Ministry of Health explained in a statement that it had been informed of the presence of a crew member presenting mild symptoms compatible with the coronavirus on board the cruise ship. The test then turned out to be positive. The Ministry of Health has granted exceptional authorization to disembark this crew member who had been isolated. The rest of the crew aboard the vessel have no reported symptoms but remained in quarantine.

Costa Rican crew members dropped off in Puntarenas

The 'Seven Seas Navigator' docked at Puntarenas on April 30, 2020, in order to disembark three Tico crew members who had expressed their desire to return to their country. No other person left the ship. The three Costa Ricans will meet Immigration Police, be tested for SARS-CoV-2 and receive a mandatory 14-day home quarantine order. The Pacific Port Authority (INCOP) executed its protocol for care and prevention of the coronavirus, CCSS nurses will apply the appropriate tests on site and officials from the Ministry of Health will notify the quarantine to the nationals. The last port of call for the cruise ship was in Los Angeles on April 22. The vessel reported on April 27 that none of its 342 crew members had showed symptoms of the coronavirus. Medevac off Berck-sur-mer

On June 19, 2019, around 5 a.m. the CROSS Joburg was alerted after a 68-year-old English passenger had fallen ill aboard the "Seven Seas Navigator" which was 36.5 miles west of Berck-sur-mer. The CROSS immediately liaised with the Toulouse Medical Center (CCMM) and the Maritime Medical Coordination SAMU in Le Havre which recommended that the passenger should be evacuated as soon as possible. The CROSS deployed a Dauphin helicopter from the Navy base Le Touquet. At 07:06 a.m. the victim was hoisted aboard the helicopter and transferred to the hospital Duchesne in Boulogne-sur-Mer.
