Fire in coal port
At least 10 fire engines have been called to a large blaze at the Hunterston coal port in Ayrshire. Thick black smoke could be seen billowing out of the facility on Mar 22, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. close to the berth of the Greek Bulkcarrier "Samjohn Legacy". Scottish Fire and Rescue in attendance . It appeared that a small crane and a conveyor belt for coal were on fire. Firefighters were trying to dampen down the fire with hoses but flames were still visible. A police helicopter had been flying over the scene and fire crews appeared to be operating a hose from a boat near the pier.
