Engine control trouble
The 'Algoma Mariner' suffered a failure of the engine controls while transiting the Lake Erie in position 42 48 10.2N, 079 14 32.4W, on May 15, 2021, at 09.40 a.m. The vessel anchored off Port Colborne, Ontario, in order to assess the problem and carry out repairs. After troubleshooting it resumed the voyage fom Sault Ste. Marie to Port Colborne where it arrived on May 16.
Engine trouble off Leamington
The 'Algoma Mariner' suffered a problem with its main engine off Leamington in position 41 41 07.7 N, 082 30 56.4 W, on April 2, 2020, at 10 a.m. She proceeded to the nearest anchorage to carry out repairs and later resumed its voyage from Sault Ste. Marie to Thunderbay, ETA April 7.
Engine failure on St. Lawrence River
The "Algoma Mariner" suffered a partial loss of the main engine power in the St. Lawrence River off the Iles aux Coudres, Quebec, in position 47 26.564 N, 070 20.413 W, on Feb 10, 2019, at 06.10 a.m. The vessel continued at reduced speed to the Pointe-au-Pic anchorage, Quebec, for inspections and repairs by the crew. The ship arrived at Port Cartier on Feb 11 at 03.25 a.m.
