Fire at Bosch Yard

Wed Jun 04 10:58:12 CEST 2014 Timsen

In the morning of June 4, 2014, the fire departments of Hasselt and Zwartsluis responded to a fire on the "Alm" which was moored at the shipyard Bosch in Zwartsluis. The fire started just after s8 a.m. during works aboard in the foreshp. Employees of the shipyard were trying to extinguish the fire, but retreated after the fire fighters arrived and quickly brought the fire under control. With the thermal imaging camera the forecastle was checked for remaining hotspots and a measurement of carbon monoxide carried out to control whether it was safe to enter the space.
