Repairs to lube oil pump off Plymouth

The "Mari Ugland", en route from New Orleans to Antwerp with a crew of 24 on board, needed adjustments to be made to the engine lube oil pump 40 nautical miles south of Plymouth, in position 49 37 54 N, 004 01 24 W, on Dec 7 at 08.30 a.m. The estimated time for repairs was about two hours. The vessel is carrying 68.822 metric tonnes of ultra low sulphur diesel (ULSD). It arrived at the Berendrecht Lock in Antwerp on Dec 8 at 2 p.m.

While proceeding in ice under icebreaker “Vaigach”-escort the tank m/v “SCF Amur” (IMO: 9333436) ran with its bow into the stern of the “Mari Ugland” which suffered slight damage to the aft deck. The “Mari Ugland” proceeded to Port Vition, the “SCF Amur” was proceeding to Murmansk in a convoy guided by the icebreaker “Yamal”.
