Brothers-3 loaded with naphtha in trouble in Kilyos resort area, Turkey. The chief officer of ship, Russian citizen Artem Kotenev, was taken to hospital after a difficult seaborne operation by Turkish Coastal Safety Administration. Turkish rescuers saved chief officer

Russian tanker Brothers-3, unable to enter Bosphorus and fighting severe storm in Kilyos resort area, Turkey, asked for medical assistance – chief officer of the vessel fell on deck or was hit by a wave, and broke his leg in two places, with resulting heavy hemorrhage. Turkish authorities sent a rescue helicopter to evacuate injured seaman, but after 4 failed, due to strong wind, attempts, helicopter returned to base . SAR boat was sent instead, and the boat managed to take injured chief officer on board. Ambulance already waiting on shore immediately took hin to hospital, now his life is out of danger, thanks to SAR boat KIYEM-1. In trouble in Kilyos resort area, Turkey

Wasn’t able to enter Bosphorus on Dec 23 2011 and asked assistance at 1045 LT experiencing some unspecified trouble, in Kilyos resort area Istanbul Province, Black sea, in a stormy sea with wind up to 8-9 force. 13 crew vessel is en route from Russian Black sea port to Aliaga, Turkey, with 2523 tons of naphtha on board.
