Fayard A/S has redelivered the Chinese owned bulk carrier Cleantec after repairing the damage caused by the collision with the container carrier Frisia Rotterdam. The repair work was finished several days before schedule. Fayard has removed and replaced around 100 tons of steel. After Cleantec left the Fayard plant at Munkebo it sailed to Fredericia to reload the cargo of fertilizer destined for Paranagua in South America. The Cleantec, 33,344 DWT, sustained a seven metre long crack in its hull after a collision with the German-owned container carrier Frisia Rotterdam on December 13.
