Ferry sidelined after grounding

On Nov 23, 2014, at 6.30 p.m. the "Dyrøy" ran aground during its service Grytøy-Bjarkøy-Sandsøy. The ship, after being refloated, was sidelined in Altevik for inspection. and was Sunday inoperative because of the grounding. A passenger boat was sent from Bjarkøy at 9 p.m. On Nov 24 the ferry "Strandbarm" was inserted as a replacement.

Ferry slammed into quay

The "Dyrøy" while serving on ist route between Bjarkøy-Sandsøy-Grytøy allided with the quay in Sandsøy, Harstad, in the morning of Sep 26, 2014. The bow port could not be closed after the impact, pillars and logs at the quay were damaged. Sailings between Stornes and Skrolsvik were cancelled. The ferry "Karlsøy" was inserted between Grytøy, Sandsøy and Bjarkøy later. The accident was caused by a sudden gust of wind which pushed the ferry into the mooring booms. Ferry allided with quay

One week after the "Dyrøy" returned from a yard stay at the Hamek Harstad Mek. Verksted AS the ferry allided with the ferry landing at Sandsøy in the foremidday of July 13, 2013. No one was injured, but investigations on the cause were launched and Ferry sailings suspended in the meantime.
